Description

Brown v. Board of Education was one of the most pivotal court cases ever decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. On May 17, 1954, Chief Justice Earl Warren delivered the unanimous decision of the Court, stating that “We conclude that in the field of public education the doctrine of ‘separate but equal’ has no place. Separate educational facilities are inherently unequal.” This landmark decision began the long battle towards school integration in Florida and nationwide.
